02 Ingredients
500g Ground Beef (or mix of beef and pork)
1 cup Breadcrumbs
1 Onion (finely chopped)
2 Eggs
½ cup Milk
2 tbsp Ketchup (plus more for topping)
1 tbsp Worcestershire Sauce
1 tsp Garlic Powder
1 tsp Salt
½ tsp Black Pepper
Optional ½ cup Grated Carrot or Bell Pepper (for extra moisture)
For Glaze
¼ cup Ketchup
1 tbsp Brown Sugar
1 tsp Mustard (optional)
03 Method
Step 1
Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F).
Step 2
In a large bowl, mix Ground Beef, Breadcrumbs, Onion, Eggs, Milk, Ketchup, Worcestershire Sauce, Garlic Powder, Salt, and Black Pepper until just combined (do not overmix).
Step 3
Shape mixture into a loaf and place on a lined baking sheet or loaf pan.
Step 4
Mix Glaze ingredients and spread over the top of the loaf.
Step 5
Bake for 50–55 minutes until cooked through (internal temperature 70°C / 160°F).
Step 6
Let rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
Step 7
Serve hot with Mashed Potatoes and Vegetables.
